Shanghai · Weimo Exhibition Hall

The Weimo Exhibition Hall is situated in a renovated warehouse in Baoshan, Shanghai. Led by W.DESIGN, the project adopts a "theater" concept, constructing a stage-like space through layered and stacked volumes and a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The fusion of old and new architecture creates a novel spatial form. With a minimalist geometric framework, the exhibition hall strips away excess to craft a semi-abstract environment, inviting visitors to envision future living spaces and explore the relationship between habitation, humanity, and nature.

Shanghai Liuzhu Lighting provided the lighting design and implementation for the project, utilizing fixtures from MERCANVEE Lighting. Rooted in a minimalist geometric system, the design layers a narrative woven from light and shadow, seamlessly connecting each geometrically defined exhibition area. Natural light streams through skylights and side windows, casting a soft glow that blends with artificial lighting to create versatile, ever-changing effects.

In this unique space, the story of light and shadow unfolds within a framework of minimalist geometry, breathing new life into the old factory warehouse and leaving visitors with boundless imagination and emotional resonance.
